Responsibilities

Our client is looking for a Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer, who has a focus in Kubernetes, to join their team! Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference? That’s why our client needs you, an experienced Kubernetes SME, to help them shorten the time it takes to get critical tools developed and into the hands of digital citizens and mission workers who need them to drive innovation in the nation.

• You’ll use your development experience to streamline our clients software development life cycle from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and Cloud resources to cut down on tedious, boring tasks and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best – innovate. You’ll implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. This is an opportunity to build your experience in modern, Cloud-native software development.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with managing and leading teams

• 6+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services

• 5+ years of experience with implementing Kubernetes environments

• 3+ years of experience with DevOps methods and practices

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform or Cloud formation

• Experience with Configuration as Code, including AWS SSM, Ansible, PowerShell, or Bash

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with Identity Authentication and Authorization, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID

• Experience with Advanced Networking design and troubleshooting, including DNS, Routing, or Subnetting

• Knowledge of Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows Server

• Knowledge of Active Directory and GPO

• An active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• A Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Certification is preferred

• AWS Certified Developer - Associate Certification is preferred

Education/Certification Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required for this position
• A DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification is required

Clearance Requirements

• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Secret clearance is required.
