Responsibilities

Our client is looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer to join their team! In this role, you’ll be part of a mission-oriented engineering group challenged to do the impossible and recover data that may be deleted. You’ll directly impact criminal and counter-intelligence investigations by applying failure analysis, glitching, and side-channel analysis techniques to reverse engineer embedded systems. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge in a range of embedded systems development and testing while broadening your skillset into areas like advanced side-channel analysis, hardware-backed security components, and reverse engineering.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with embedded systems development, including firmware development, bare-metal programming, and FPGA development

  • 5+ years of experience with capturing schematics and designing PCBs

  • 5+ years of experience with design, layout, and troubleshooting high-speed digital IO, including LVDS, PCIe, DDR, SATA, orJESD204B

  • Experience with integrating state-of-the-art mobile and IoT processors, PMICs, RF Modules, and highly integrated supporting chips

  • Knowledge of test equipment, including vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, or logic analyzers

  • Knowledge of Arm Architecture

  • Knowledge of low-power microprocessor integration, including PIC16, PIC32, and STM32

  • Knowledge of modern product interfaces, including USB 1/2/3, JTAG/SWD, I2C, SPI, UART, or Ethernet

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in working with Operating System code

  • Knowledge of designing with Altera FPGAs

  • Knowledge of cryptography

  • Knowledge of Flash memory and RAM concepts

  • Knowledge of secure boot processes

  • A Master's degree in EE or Computer Engineering

Education/Certification Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in EE or Computer Engineering is required for this position

Clearance Requirements

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance is required.
