Responsibilities
Our client is looking for a Embedded Hardware Security Engineer, Senior to join their team! In this role, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to evaluating hardware security implementation in embedded electronics. Our client is looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to support law enforcement by creating new forensic tools and investigative capabilities.
In this role, you will use your engineering skills to transform law enforcement. Our client's team builds digital forensics for investigators to recover user data from electronic devices. That’s why our client needs you, an electrical engineer with an understanding of embedded system design, mobile platforms and architecture, and hardware security concepts to help us design and develop techniques for testing memory subsystems, security subsystems, and debugging interfaces on electronic devices.
You'll be part of a mission-oriented engineering group challenged to do the impossible and recover data that may be protected or deleted. You’ll impact criminal, counter-threat, and counter-intelligence investigations by applying failure analysis, glitching, and side-channel analysis techniques to reverse engineer embedded systems.
This is a chance to use your range of embedded systems development and test skills while gaining experience in fault injection, failure analysis, and reverse engineering.

Requirements
3+ years of experience with software development in C, C++, or Python
3+ years of experience with embedded systems development, including firmware development, bare-metal programming, FPGA development, and JTAG
1+ years of experience developing side-channel analysis, including fault-injection, glitching, power analysis, and electromagnetic interference
1+ years of experience using IDA Pro or Ghidra for reverse engineering
Knowledge of Arm Architecture
Preferred Requirements
Experience working with Operating System code
Knowledge of cryptography
Knowledge of Flash memory and RAM concepts
Knowledge of secure boot processes
Master's degree in EE or Computer Engineering
