Responsibilities

Our client is looking for multiple Senior DevOps Engineers to join their team! As a Senior DevOps Engineer on our client's team, you will be a driving force behind the optimization and automation of their IT infrastructure and software development pipelines. Your deep knowledge in DevOps practices will enable you to lead initiatives in automating software build, testing, and deployment processes with tools like Cypress and Jenkins. You will be instrumental in automating configuration management with Ansible and Puppet, and spearheading infrastructure provisioning using advanced IaC methodologies with Terraform and CloudFormation.

Your role will also encompass developing complex data queries for enhanced data management, authoring and reviewing system documentation to ensure clarity and accuracy, conducting thorough system performance analyses, and deploying sophisticated monitoring frameworks with Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana.

• Automate software build, testing, and deployment with the use of tools such as Git, Gitlab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Cypress, etc.
  
• Automate the configuration and management of resources using modern tooling such as Saltstack, Ansible, Puppet, etc.
  
• Automate the provisioning of infrastructure using Infrastructure As Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.
  
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
  
• Write or review software and system documentation, propose and implement recommendations for improving documentation
  
• Analyze system performance standards, flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas
  
• Configure logging, system, and performance monitoring software with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, etc.
  

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience with a Bachelors degree in a technical field of study is required. An additional 5+ years of equivalent practical experience may be substituted for a degree
• Experience scripting in languages such as Python, bash, PowerShell, PERL, etc.
• Experience with distributed scalable Big Data Storage (NoSQL) such as Elasticsearch, Hbase, Cloudbase/Accumulo, Big Table, etc.
• Experience with container orchestration and automation such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, etc.

Education/Certification Requirements

• A Bachelors degree in a technical field of study is required for this position. An additional 5+ years of equivalent practical experience may be substituted for a degree

Clearance Requirements

• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active TS/SCI w/FS Poly clearance is required. Please note that the FS Poly currently needs to be held by the NSA or within the past two years.
