Audio Visual Technician
Onsite | Springfield, VA | 5 days a week - 25% Travel
Active Top Secret Clearance Required - Ability to obtain an SCI
Responsibilities
We are seeking an Audio-Visual Technician to join our team! In this position, you will provide AV/VTC related duties to a constantly changing, highly secure federal environment.
Requirements
- 1-2+ years of experience in the installation of AV/VTC systems
- 1+ years of experience with Crestron systems and/or a Crestron certification is required instead of the hands-on Crestron experience
- Demonstrated experience in following schematics for the installation of VTC systems
- Demonstrated ability in reading and interpreting system installation drawings and design packages, applying that knowledge to the cabling installation, promoting a safe work environment, and implementing safe work practices
- Proficient in the proper handling, installation of LC, MTRJ, and SC connector termination, and testing of fiber-optic and copper cabling systems
- Proficient in the installation of various types of cable tray, PDS, and Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) conduit up to four (4) inches
- Possess effective communication skills for coordinating installation work with office personnel and customers
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to various locations throughout the United States
Education/Certification Requirements
- A Crestron certification is preferred, but not required
Clearance Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain an SCI
