Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead technology implementation projects and ensure their successful execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, overseeing technical solutions, and maintaining project timelines and budgets. This role requires expertise in risk management, stakeholder communication, and compliance with technical standards.

• Project Planning: Develop and execute detailed project plans for technology implementations, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Define and manage project scope and objectives with input from stakeholders
• Project Team/Vendor Management: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including software developers, RF engineers, and systems engineers. Manage work completed by vendors and sub-contractors, ensuring collaboration and effective communication
• Technical Oversight: Provide expert technical leadership and guidance on projects, ensuring technical solutions align with requirements and compliance standards
• Schedule Management: Create and maintain detailed project schedules using project management tools. Track progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely completion of all project phases
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks specific to projects, addressing challenges proactively to minimize impact
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status, progress, and any changes in scope or schedule. Ensure stakeholder requirements are understood and managed
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet high-quality standards and adhere to best practices
• Budget Management: Develop and oversee project budgets, monitoring expenditures to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and compliance records

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
• Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and oversee complex projects. Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or Salesforce
• Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of technical concepts and communications technologies. Experience with software development and systems integration is a plus
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing competing demands and handling multiple priorities
• Experience working with DHS, Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement
• Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Experience writing proposals, white papers, and SBIR responses
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a design and development environment

Preferred Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
• PMP certification preferred but not required
• Experience with RF Communications and US DoD Acquisition processes is a plus
