Our client is an employee and Service-Disabled, Veteran-owned Small Business focused on providing niche technical services. They are a team of experienced Cyber Security professionals with a track record of success in the Federal, Commercial, and Academic workspaces. Additionally, our client designs, builds, operates, and secures scalable cloud and IT infrastructures to meet their customers’ near-term needs and fulfill their long-term requirements.

 

Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to ensure their IT products meet customer needs and align with business goals. The Business Analyst will support the mission by identifying, eliciting, and decomposing requirements, facilitating team and customer ceremonies, and fostering effective communication, both verbally and through written documentation. Operating in an Agile and DevSecOps environment, the role requires adapting to an evolving organization and delivering innovative and mission-critical software products.

  • Analyze and understand business needs and translate them into governance artifacts and product backlog items
  • Perform AoAs and assess courses of action by factors such as value, cost, and feasibility
  • Create and manage delivery schedules and product roadmaps
  • Generate and manage artifacts and knowledge bases
  • Generate and manage body of evidence (BOE) generation and submission
  • Assist in test planning and management
  • Facilitate and refine team ceremonies
  • Identify, map, and track dependencies, both internal and external
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient product development and delivery
  • Use product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and M365 for daily tasks

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working on, or supporting a software development team or enterprise architecture organization
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Familiarity with Cloud environments, particularly AWS
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 (M365) suite
  • Experience in backlog management, including Epic, Feature, and User Story development
  • Ability to be on-site 60% of the time at a client SCIF in Washington D.C.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience performing analysis of alternatives (AoAs)
  • Familiarity with the Intelligence Community (IC) and intel cycle
  • Familiarity with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
  • Experience with Government risk management frameworks (RMF) and cybersecurity authorization processes
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Strong experience in delivering valuable software products in an Agile environment
  • Knowledge of user research methodologies and the ability to derive actionable insights
  • Experience with cloud budgeting and forecasting
  • Relevant certifications

Education/Certification Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required

Clearance Requirements

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a SCI is required. Please be aware that onboarding can take 4-6 weeks for this position.
