Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Architect responsible for the design, architecture, and implementation of technology solutions to support enterprise infrastructure. The Senior Azure Cloud Architect will ensure that all systems are optimized and support the development of new technologies and system requirements. The role requires extensive experience with technical architecture discussions and Datacenter migrations, as well as mentorship and client support.
- Analyze existing systems for security and performance, ensuring they meet organizational needs
- Identify opportunities to integrate new hardware, operating systems, or connectivity solutions and document solution designs
- Lead the design and delivery of infrastructure platform solutions related to cloud, server, network, storage, and data center management
- Oversee system architecture review processes and develop technical designs for integration and implementation
- Create detailed plans for integrating new systems into existing infrastructure
- Serve as the escalation point for Microsoft Azure client support tickets and lead technical training sessions
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise engineering
- Expertise in Windows and Linux IaaS, SAP, BCDR, Security, Management, Storage, and Networking
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Ability to assess Azure platform issues, automate troubleshooting, and explore diagnostic opportunities
- Experience with large data centers and technology transformation projects
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms, virtualization, data protection, and access management
- Experience in migrating Windows and Linux servers to Azure and using tools such as Commvault, ASR, and PowerShell
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2008-2019), Active Directory, and Azure AD
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems, Hyper-V, and VMWare
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Requirements
- Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) certification preferred
- AWS migration experience is a plus
Education/Certification Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
