Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a motivated QA Tester to join their team! In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of software applications by conducting thorough testing, identifying issues, and collaborating with development teams for resolution.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure application quality and performance
- Identify, document, and track software defects using established defect tracking tools
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Analyze testing results to ensure systems meet functional and performance requirements
- Contribute to continuous process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain detailed documentation of test processes, results, and defect resolution
- Provide feedback to the development team to improve product quality
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related experience or Associate’s degree with 3+ years of related experience in software quality assurance or testing
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles and QA methodologies
- Proficiency in using test management tools and defect tracking systems
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence
- Working knowledge of the SAFe methodology
- Experience with Pega is preferred
Education/Certification Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related experience or Associate’s degree with 3+ years of related experience in software quality assurance or testing
Clearance Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance is required.
