Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to join their team. Work as an Azure Data Engineer on an agile team implementing a modern Azure based enterprise document and Data management solution. In this role you will design and develop Azure Data Lake Storage, an Azure Hosted SQL Server Database, Azure Data Factory, Power BI and other related tools.
Requirements
5+ years of experience building Data and Analytics platforms focused on Azure Data and analytics solutions
Expertise in configuring and implementing Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen 2) solutions to manage structured and unstructured data
Expertise in designing, implementing, and tuning data models using SQL Server Database
Azure ETL tool experience (e.g. SQL Server, Blob Storage, Azure Data Factory, SSIS)
Strong SQL Server and T-SQL development skills
Knowledge of available APIs to access ADLS
Preferred Requirements
Knowledge / Experience on Kingsway Soft SSIS
Experience in Programming Python
Bitbucket / Jenkins / GIT Integration using Azure repos for Source Control
Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
Experience using Azure Notebooks
Experience / exposure to MS Fabric
Proficiency in migrating from on-prem SQL to Azure PaaS SQL.
Familiarity with API Integrations (REST/oAuth) and cloud security best practices
Experience with error handling, logging (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics) and performance tuning
