Responsibilities

Our client is looking for a Systems Administrator to join their team! This position is located onsite at Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio and supports a key intelligence community customer. In this role, you will help administer, maintain, and troubleshoot both desktop and server systems across local and wide area networks. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring secure, reliable, and optimized system performance while directly contributing to mission readiness. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

  • Administer desktop and server systems on local and wide area networks

  • Provide implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for IT systems

  • Diagnose and resolve Tier 1–3 technical issues across Windows and Unix platforms

  • Install and configure operating systems and applications using tools like PowerShell, PDQ, and MECM (SCCM)

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues that impact availability and performance

  • Maintain system documentation and SOPs; update tickets and resolution logs using Service+ or similar tools

  • Monitor system availability with enterprise monitoring tools

  • Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance on data center and end-user equipment

  • Coordinate maintenance windows with internal stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with STIGs and support vulnerability mitigation with ISSOs

  • Perform system backups and assist in recovery operations

  • Provide customer-facing technical support both onsite and remotely

  • Support configuration management, patching, and routine system updates

  • Safeguard data integrity and system security across linked databases

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Windows, RHEL, and/or storage systems administration

  • Familiarity with Service+ or comparable ticketing systems

  • Ability to lift and move hardware up to 65 lbs

  • Willingness to respond to after-hours support needs

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in high-pressure environments

Education Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required

  • A Security+ or DoD 8570 Level II certification within 90 days of hire

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in imagery intelligence or DoD IC environments

  • Script development experience using PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages

  • Experience with Red Hat Linux, SQL Server, or Windows Server

  • Familiarity with imagery production workflows or geospatial tools

  • Understanding of database or network administration

  • Current U.S. Passport

Clearance Requirements

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active TS/SCI clearance is required. Please be aware that onboarding can take 4-6 weeks for this position.
