Responsibilities

Our client is looking for an Azure Engineer to join their team! This senior-level role will focus on designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable Microsoft Azure solutions to support enterprise workloads and mission-critical services. The ideal candidate will lead modernization initiatives in hybrid or fully cloud environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive governance, automation, and performance.

• Design and implement Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions for enterprise workloads

• Develop cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform

• Collaborate with security, networking, and DevOps teams to enforce governance and compliance standards

• Troubleshoot and optimize performance across Azure services including VMs, App Services, Azure Functions, and AKS

• Support hybrid environments through tools such as Azure Arc, Azure Stack, and ExpressRoute

• Manage identity and access using Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and Conditional Access

• Apply FinOps principles to monitor and optimize cloud spend

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture reviews and planning initiatives

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 3+ years focused on Microsoft Azure

• Expert knowledge of Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, and security services

• Proficient in scripting and automation with PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM, Bicep, or Terraform

• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST, or HIPAA

• Experience with Azure monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel

Education/Certification Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent

• Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud environments including AWS integration

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

• Experience supporting mission-critical or government workloads
