About The Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant with deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9 and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) to support critical infrastructure automation efforts. This role is focused on delivering secure, automated, and scalable infrastructure solutions for a mission-driven client.

Job Duties:

• Deploy, configure, and manage RHEL 9 environments across development, test, and production systems.

   

• Lead the implementation and optimization of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) – Level 2 experience required.

   

• Support automation of infrastructure and application deployment using Ansible and other Red Hat technologies.

   

• Migrate legacy configuration management systems (e.g., Puppet) to Ansible-based solutions.

   

• Work with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Satellite (SAT) for system provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management.

   

• Contribute to secure software delivery using Red Hat Trusted Application Pipeline (nice to have).

   

• Collaborate with developers, network engineers, and DevSecOps teams to ensure system reliability and compliance.

   

• Maintain security posture in alignment with DoD STIGs and client-specific compliance frameworks.

   

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to RHEL, automation tooling, and system integration.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years experience (closer to 10 prefered) administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) environments.

   

• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) – Level 2 or equivalent experience.

   

• Security+ (CompTIA) or any IAT Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8570 (e.g., GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security)

• Familiarity with Puppet-to-Ansible migration strategies.

   

• Working knowledge of OpenShift (OCP) and Red Hat Satellite.

   

• Solid understanding of Linux systems security, patching, and compliance.

   

• Experience in DoD or IC environments with strict security and access controls.

Nice to Have:

• Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE) highly desirable.

   

• Exposure to Red Hat Trusted Application Pipeline.

   

• Experience supporting secure CI/CD pipelines in government environments.

   

• Familiarity with GitLab, Jenkins, or other automation platforms.
