They are a team of experienced cybersecurity professionals with a track record of success in the Federal, Commercial, and Academic workspaces. Additionally, our client designs, builds, operates, and secures scalable cloud and IT infrastructures to meet their customers’ near-term needs and fulfill their long-term requirements.

 

Responsibilities

Our client is looking for a Linux System Administrator to join their team! This role will support the Security Operations Center (SOC) by providing administration and engineering support for Linux-based systems across both on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Linux systems, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity operations.

  • Administer and support Linux-based systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

  • Provide systems and network administration for enterprise cybersecurity tools

  • Manage infrastructure across physical servers, virtual machines, and Azure Cloud (IaaS)

  • Support networking environments, including Cisco ISE and Fortigate firewalls

  • Collaborate with IT and cyber teams to ensure security compliance and operational readiness

  • Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in computer science, business management, IT, or networking

  • 5 years of hands-on experience with Linux system administration and network architecture

  • Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration

  • Strong understanding of network topologies and security practices

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and risk effectively

  • Ability to obtain public trust clearance

Education/Certification Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business management, IT, or a related discipline
  • Certification in Linux system administration, such as RHCSA, CompTIA Linux+, LFCS, or LPIC-1

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with ServiceNow and JIRA

  • Familiarity with Windows-based systems and Azure Cloud environments

Clearance Requirements

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Must be able to obtain a US Government Public Trust Clearance.
