Senior Consultant – Ansible for Networking

About The Job

We are seeking a Senior Consultant with deep expertise in Ansible Automation for Networking to lead infrastructure automation initiatives for enterprise and government clients. This role will focus on designing, developing, and implementing Ansible Playbooks, roles, and modules to automate complex network operations and configurations across multi-vendor environments.

Job Duties:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Ansible for Networking solutions across Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto, and other platforms.
• Develop custom Ansible playbooks to automate device provisioning, configuration management, compliance enforcement, and operational workflows.
• Integrate Ansible Automation Platform with source control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow), and inventory systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps, NetOps, and Security teams to define automation standards and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training on Ansible for internal teams and client stakeholders.
• Perform proof-of-concepts, demos, and workshops to support pre-sales and architectural planning.
• Troubleshoot Ansible execution issues across diverse network environments and contribute to playbook optimization.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or automation, including hands-on work with routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

• 3+ years of experience using Ansible or Ansible Tower/AAP to automate network configurations and operational tasks.

• Experience with YAML, Jinja2 templating, Git, and structured data (e.g., JSON).

• Strong understanding of network protocols and architectures (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, ACLs).

• Experience working with network APIs (e.g., Cisco NX-API, RESTCONF, NETCONF, Arista eAPI).

• Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.

• MUST HAVE: Ansible & Puppet experience
