UI Front End Developer

On-Site in Ashburn, VA 

Current Top Secret clearance required (and eligible for CBP BI)

Responsibilities

The UI Front-End Developer will actively engage in building single page applications using modern JavaScript framework and libraries. The UI Front-End Developer will apply front end development experience to build reusable components and libraries. Work in an agile team and deploy applications in cloud using DevOps tools. The position will be involved in the full cycle of application development from designing, coding, testing, deploying, and monitoring. This is a highly technical position; individuals will be screened by peers in a technical review of skills and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use modern software engineering tools and methodologies, including Visual Studio, and Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence)
• Work with users in an Agile development approach to understand requirements, then elicit feedback and refine solutions through demonstrations

Requirements

• Must have strong HTML5, JSON, CSS, and CSS framework skills.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions to software problems.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain components with stringent performance requirements.
• Recent 5 years' experience developing front end applications using Angular (Preferred in Angular version 12 or above).
• Advance level experience in UI performance tuning and Component/Layout design.
• Proven record of understanding HTML5, CSS3(flexbox, flexgrid), SASS, JSON and theme development
• 2 years' experience in state management (NgRx)
• Experience in developing reusable components and libraries (building NPM packages)
• Experience working with microservices design patterns.
• Experience in working with Git operations such as branching and merging.
• Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
• Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.
• Must work well in a matrixed team environment.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in designing and implementing J2EE software applications.
• Experience in querying using SQL.
• Experience in developing unit testing using frameworks such as Jest and ng-mocks.
• Familiarity with backend development Spring Boot restful services and microservices (Spring cloud)
• Work experience with Java/ Python preferred
• Familiarity with automation testing tools Cypress, Selenium, and JMeter

Education/Certification Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field with applicable experience is required. Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Clearance Requirements

• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Top Secret clearance is required.
